   Flim screening of "Super 30" organised by Flim screening Committee of Department of English in collaboration with Department of Hindi, MKBU. We watched Super 30 on 1 August at Top 3.

   Anand kumar, a mathematician from patna, India, works his way through challenges towards success before running the Super 30 program for IIT aspirants in patna.

In the movie Fugga narrates the story. He is student of Anand kumar. He tells the story. In the movie differences are there. Main chracter is Anand kumar's chracter. He is hardworker. He also get a gold medal. His father is postman.

 
His father has a also hope , that his son will get admission in Oxford. And then one day Anand 's Article published in Foreign journal. And they invites Anand kumar in Oxford University. And then his father is very happy. And the stars preparation, but they not get help. And then he is not going. In the movie corruption is there. Because of corruption he is not get money. In the movie politician gives a promise to him. But when he needs money at that time that politician forgets his promise. So In the movie that politician only makes a wrong promises, but he does not completes his promises. And In the movie difference is there. In the movie Lower, Middle and upper class people are there. Upper class people get more benefits. And poor and middle class get less benefits. Anand Kumar belongs to middle class. And then In the movie he get a job in IIT. Then he gets more benefits. His income is more. And he enjoys the life, he also purchasing bike. And then he meets with one boy, he studying when he get some time in between job. At that time Anand realised his situation. Because of less money, he does not studying he likes studying but because of his poor condition, he cannot studying. Anand remembers his situation when he wants go Oxford, but he cannot go because of less money. And then he thinks about poor people. And he decideds to give free education. And then he starts free education. And he also gets a support of people but power does not like that. And they tries to understand him. But he does not believe. And they creates trouble for him. But he does not stops his works, and he fights with them. He does not loose his strength.

And then he does hardwork, and teach them. They all are belongs to poor family. And that's why they cannot studied, because of the money problem. And that's why Anand understand their situation and then he started free education for them. And they are came, to learn. And then they uses simple things for learning, they uses different techniques. They all does hard work. And then 30 students gives the exam in IIT. And because of their hard and Anand Kumar 's hardwork they all are passing in this exam. And they all clears these exam. They attack on Anand. They tries to kill Anand. But he is allive. Their all attempts becomes fail. And Anand Kumar' s students uses different techniques and saves him. And In the movie love story also their. But of class difference they cannot marry with each other. Anand kumar leaves the job of IIT. 

And In the movie one important dialogue is there.

" अब राजा का बेटा राजा नहि बनेगा,

   बनेगा वही जो हकदार होगा । " 

This dialogue is very important. It shows that A person who deserves the job will get the position. A person who deserves the in true sense, that person get the benefit. So not only rich people get benefits, and position but poor people also get benefit and equal rights in society. They also deserves the position. So In the movies Anand fights equality in education. And finally he win his fight. And 30 students also get admission in IIT. For education there is no any difrences . But power creates differences in education because of their benefits in the movie. So at the end of the movie Happy ending is there. Movie talks about education and equal rights for education. And In the movie Fugga also loose his strength, against power. And he runs away. And at the end of the movie he also supports Anand kumar. He realises his mistake. And he also becomes mathematician. Movie throws lights on education system, and Authority.

   Screening of "Article 15" organised by Flim screening Committee. We watched movie "Article 15" on 5 July 2019 at MAXUS CINEMA, HIMALAYA MALL. Tickets sponsored by TANISHQ JEWELLRY.

  This movie based on the socio - political situation of India, the lives of police officers are followed. In a country where discrimination is everywhere, whether related to race or caste, the officers embark on a journey of acceptance and change.

       In the movie how power controls the people, and some people uses the power in wrong way,it shows. It gives a deep interpretation trough the movie. In rural area many time people suffer a alot. They have no voice to speak against the power. Power controls the people. People becomes a puppet of power. In the movie we find differences are there. Caste difference clearly shown in the movie. In the movie Aayushyman's chracter name is Ayan Ranjan. His character is main in the movie.
   
   In the movie woman's situation is very bad. In the movie Aayushyman Khurana is a main character. He is police Inspector. He fights with his friend for the different perspectives, or views, opinions. In beginning of the movie he thinks in different way. But slowly slowly he also changing. He takes some important decision. He finds the truth. In movie caste difference is there. That's why poor people does not equal rights in village. When he is coming in village, he clearly shows the difference and he is shoking.
    "उन लोगो"
This word constantly uses in the movie. He does not believe in any differences. In the movie girls are raped. Because they wants some more money, they works hard but then they does not get enough money. That why they only asks for more money. And then these 3 girls are raped and two girls are died. They kills them. And tide on the branch of tree in front of people. And then still one girl is missing. Ayan is working hard to find the truth and these third girl. When they died at that time people thinks negatively. They thinks that both girls are bad girls. Both have relationships with others. And that's why their father kills them. But that is not truth. Truth is hidden behind the power.

     One police officer also part of this crime. He wants to hides his reality. But his truth also came in front of people. One villagers also part of this crime. They wants only 3Rs.more for their work. Because of this reason they becomes criminal in front of him. And he belongs to rich class. We find in the movie vast difference in upper and lower class. People are divided in this class lower class people suffers a lot. They works day and night. Then they does not get respect equal position in society. People does not like them.

   Ayan also belongs to upper class in the movie. But he does not create any difference. But for him all are equal. That's why he helps them to finds out the truth. Police officers kills that villagers. Because he knew the reality of him. That's that police officer feels fear. And he kills him. Aayushyman tries alot to find the truth. But another police officer does not like his attempts to find the truth.
      Then one lawyer came and warns him. But Ayan tells him that because of the fear of death you support wrong person. That's why you already died. And he also said, I know that you throws the proof in dustbin. But I have no problem. And also said I suspended, then also I does my duty, and I finds the third girl who is lost. It suggests that truth is hiding somewhere, but he has confidence to find out the truth.
    And then he finds the third girl. He saves her. Amd then reality came. That police officer also accepts his crime. And goes in the jail.

  In the movie when they talks about the difference at that Ayan becomes angry and said that they came on earth from another island. And he does not believe in any cast difference. That's why he argues with them. And the Article 15 was published. In this article all are becomes equal. There is a no any differences.

 In the movie power controls on proof. And tries to changes the proof of report. And power warns the doctor also. And then Ayan meets with that doctor. And tries to find the truth. And then she tells the truth, that all three girls are raped again and again. And it is not does only one man. But it is does by group of people, it is group rape. And because of warning she wants leave village but Ayan supports her, and then she is ready to find the real culprit. And the real culprit caught. And the supporter of lower class people, also involved in this crime. That's why sometimes protection also becomes dangerous.
  In the movie power tries to hides the reality, and creates many difficulties but the truth is also came. In the movie lower class people working hard, they only wants enough money for their work, but still they working hard, but not get enough money. They works hard, sometimes they losts their life in very painful condition. In the movie those three girls raped in school. School is a symbol of Vidhya, and it also like temple of study. So In a school this type of situation is happens. So symbol of school is also changing.

  "Raja banega kon jab sab ek ho jayenge to, 

Lekin Raja banaahi kayu hai ". This dialogues is there in the movie. In that dialogue shows the clear difference of mentality. Because people are becomes a part of that system. That's why they becomes habituated for this difference. 

In the movie atmosphere also becomes the symbol in the beginning of the movie rain is there, at that time lower class people upset, because of the power. Because of power they becomes helpless. And then in the movie gloomy atmosphere there, it suggests that like sun is hiding behind the clouds like the truth is hiding behind the power. Movie throws the lights on the cast system and the situation of girls, and how power works in village and villagers becomes the part of that because of fear.

(1) Why are two scenes of Lulu omitted from the movie?

=>  In the movie when the birthday party starts at that time Lulu is present. And then the very important part of the movie she is npt present in the movie. When somebody rapes on her. She becomes a victims of someone. At that time In the play she is present and she blams on Maccann. This scene is not present in the movie. Maybe director wants focus on the Stanley's character or his situation. That's why Lulu omitted from the movie.

(2) Is movie successful in giving us the effect of menace? Where you able to feel it while reading the text?

=> Yes, According to me movie is successful to give us the effect of meance. In the movie two strengers are there. Both wants take Stanley with them. And that's why they creates a difficulty for him. They mentally touched him. When Stanley knew that both strengers came. At that time he does not like. He don't want to meet with them. And he hides himself when both are came. He feels something wrong is happens. That's why he don't want to meet with them. In the movie sounds plays very important role. Through sound we feels the situation. When both are came. At that time fear generates in Stanley's mind for these two strengers.

(3) Do you feel the effect of lurking danger while viewing the movie? Where you able to feel the same while reading the text.

=> Yes, I feel the effect of Lurking danger while viewing the movie. When Stanley knew that both strengers came. At that time he becomes upset. And he feels fear. And that's maybe he wants to hides something. That's why he feels fear. He wants hides himself when both are came. He becomes mentally upset.

(4) What do you read in 'newspaper' in the movie? Petey is reading newspaper to Meg, it torn into pieces by McCain, pieces are hidden by Petey in last scene.

=>

In the movie Peter is reading the newspaper. In the movie newspaper becomes the symbol of hiding. Peter reads newspaper. He wants becomes unknown with the current incidents or situation. He knew everything but he becomes artificial. And he ignores the reality, and so reading the newspaper becomes the symbol of ignoring or hiding. In the last scene Peter knew that Stanley goes with both the strengers. And then he starts reading the newspaper. Because Meg is came And when Meg asks about Stanley he becomes completely unknown and he is agree with Meg that Stanley is slipping in his bedroom. He knew that Stanley is not there in his bad room. Still he hides the reality in front of Meg. And reading newspaper. And Mccann also found with newspaper. He uses the not for the reading purpose but he uses the newspaper to removes his frustration. He cuts the newspaper in small pieces. 

(5) Camera is positioned over the head of McCain when he is playing Blind Man's Buff and is positioned at the top with a view of room like a cage (trap) when Stanley is playing it. What interpretations can you give to these positioning of camera? 

=> Camera moves is very important in a play in the movie. Because its focus on the situation. In the movie camera is positioned over the head of Mccann when he is playing Blind Man's Buff and is positioned at the top with a view of room like a cage when stanenly is playing it. It shows the trap of Monty. Maybe he is watching and all are in his trap. He is playing the game. And everybody becomes the tool of his hands.

(6) "Pinter restored theater to its basic elements: an enclosed space and unpredictable dialogue, where people are at the mercy of one another and pretense crumbles." (Pinter, Art, Truth & Politics: Excerpts from the 2005 Nobel Lecture). Does this happen in the movie?

=>

Yes, In the movie also happens. In the movie when Peter reading the newspaper and avoiding and hiding something. It likes a politics of him. And both the strengers forces Stanley. And both offers him many things. But still he is not ready. So they also beats him. And then he is ready and goes with them. When Meg made breakfast for Stanley. Stanley does not like and he tells Meg. It is not testy. He says truth to Meg.

(7) How does viewing movie help in better understanding of the play ‘The Birthday Party’ with its typical characteristics (like painteresque, pause, silence, menace, lurking danger)?

=> Viewing movie help in better understanding of the play because When we read the play and watching the movie there is a difference is there. In the movie the atmosphere, the sound, expression of chracters creates a interest. Reading a text also useful. Because In the movie some scenes are not there. When we watching a movie it's become easy to understand, we feel fear of Stanley, and his anxiety through the movie. Through the camera angle also we understand the situation very clearly. We feel the silence is there, but within storm of fear is there. Things becomes alive, through the movie like newspaper, Drum, Glasses. We feel the pause. 

(8) With which of the following observations you agree:

* It probably wasn't possible to make a satisfactory film of "The Birthday Party."

* “It's impossible to imagine a better film of Pinter's play than this sensitive, disturbing version directed by William Friedkin”[3]. (Ebert)

=> I agree that It probably wasn't possible to make a satisfactory flim of "The Birthday Party". But it becomes possible. And this flim is very well created, all chracters performed well. They paly their role like a real chracter. Because of chracter flim and script, becomes live. And the sound also creates interest. I know some scenes are missing in the movie. But another scene also performed well by actors. Like when Stanley plays the drum arrogantly and the another scene arguments between Mccann, Goldberg, and Stanley and another scene of birthday party. 

(9) If you were director or screenplay writer, what sort of difference would you make in the making of movie?

=> In the movie Stanley's chracter is main. Amd In the text Lulu get a voice. She blames on Mccann, that he rapes on her. But in the movie these scene is not there. So, In the movie she not get the voice to speak. So This scene is necessary in the movie. So I put this scene in the movie. 

(10).Who would be your choice of actors to play the role of characters?

(11) Do you see any similarities among Kafka's Joseph K. (in 'The Trial'), Orwell's Winston Smith (in 'Nineteen Eighty-Four') and Pinter's Victor (in 'One for the Road')? 

=>

Yes, Similarities is there. In this three work. In these we find that political pressure is there. Ans the chracters are in depression, or in some fear. And some chracter has power to rule over them. And they becomes victims. And they becomes the puppet. Some bad incidents happens. And some characters feels anxiety. Power plays important role.
