Suzana Arundhati Roy is an Indian author best known for her novel The God Small Things, which won the Man Booker prize for fiction in 1997 and became the biggest selling book by a non- expatriate Indian author. She is also a political activist involved in human rights and entertainmental causes.
She also won Booker prize, and Norman Mailer prize for Distinguished writing, Sydney peace prize. She is writer, essayist and activist.

=> She is activist. That's why whatever happens in society, she writes about that incident and situations. And through her writing she throws light on reality. In her writing, she connects historical characters and presents chracters. So she has a deep historical sense.

=> 1. The God of Small Things (1997)
=> In this book she talks about two twins. Both are separates. And and then meet again. Some situations happens that's why both separated. And In the novel Reunion is there. In the novel talks about native India, cast system, family issues, colonisation, struggle is there.
2. The Ministry of Utmost Happiness (2017)
=> In this novel Roy talks about historical chracter and compare with today's chracter. She gives a reference in this book. And she also talks about some politicians who belong to power. Who have a power position. She writes about kashmir issues. And she also gives reference of Ramayana in this book.

=> she has deep insights to looks, society people, situation. She has a historical sense. That's why she compares both the times. Some way similar incidents happens in today's time. That's why she thinks deeply. And finds deep meaning. She using writing as a weapon, for reality.
